Chiropractic.

Back ≠ spine.

Your back is much more than a stack of bones!
It  contain discs, ligaments, fascia, veins, arteries, nerves, muscles, and more.
Dr. Kippel works with the interconnection of these elements to bring you back into alignment and ease.

Chiro ≠ backs.

Chiropractic care is about your whole body,  not only  your back.  From you ankles to your head, Dr. Kippel considers your whole body in posture, alignment and healing.

Chiro ≠ cracks.

Chiropractic care doesn't necessarily mean getting your back "cracked".  Traditional adjustments result in cracking sensations, but you can choose to skip this part and benefit from any of the other techniques Dr. Kippel offers.  See list below.

Dr. Kippel will cater to your specific needs.

Within Chiropractic treatment there are a variety of treatment techniques:

Traditional Adjustments

When the bones (vertebra) of the spine come out of alignment traditional chiropractic adjustments realign the spine to allow the affected muscles to return to more normal function.

Torque Release Treatment

In this system of chiropractic care, Dr. Kippel will use a small tool which painlessly triggers points between the spinal cord and the spinal column to release. Sometimes a whole mind and body relaxation sensation occurs. Some of our patients come specifically for this treatment.

Trigger Point Therapy

There are some points in muscles that hold so much tension for so long that they trigger discomfort in other areas of the body. Dr. Kippel uses trigger Point Therapy as part of chiropractic care  by using concentrated pressure and release patterns on these specific trigger points to release them.

Trigenics

Trigenics primarily addresses the muscle/mind connection by guiding patients to make precise movements against resistance of Dr. Kippel's hand to promote muscle relaxation and strengthening while increasing range of motion.

Neuro-Structural Integration

This gentle therapy grew out of the work of osteopath Tom Bowen who started treating athletes in the 1950s. It uses very small but highly effective acupressure and specific movements to reset the facial network.

Manual Traction

This is when the doctor physically pulls on the spine and other joints to create space between the bones. This usually helps one feel decompressed, lengthened, and realigned. This is a great treatment to relieve pinching sensations.

Muscle Release Technique

This therapy combines specific movement, compression, extension, and breath to break up minuscule adhesions in between layers of fascia in the muscles to increase range of motion and a sense of lengthening and relaxation in the muscles.

Diversified Chiro Treatment

Known as an adjustment, this is the most common method used by chiropractics to realign the bones of the spine and allow the connected tissues to relax. Though it is commonly thought to be administered with a lot of force it is actually a very low force applied very quickly.

Prevention

Habits of daily movement can cause misalignment of bones and tissues which result in discomfort and decreased lack of motion we often mistakenly attribute to aging. Regular chiropractic treatments can prevent many of these unnecessary aches and pains.
